They already know how to love Inpubliable have been reading this book since 4th March i have stopped reading several times but after re-reading book 1 and 2 this year i was determined to finish it so i went back to page 1 and started again. The third book however, the one I’m writing a “review” for now, was disappointing.

If you enjoy a love story of epic proportions, taiana with unforgettable characters that will hold your heart tightly in its grasp, this series is a must-read.

The Summer Garden deals with the ups and downs of a marriage spanning nearly half a century, taking us on a ride of joy, tragedy, sorrow and danger.

After that Friday night I still love the characters and the series and I will gladly pick up the first and second books again and again. I was really surprised that they ended up living here because Alexander seemed so against it. In half the book I had to push myself to keep reading because I was bored Here they went from trying re capture what was best in their memories to running away from the worst ones.

With this crisis weathered, time marches on and another challenge presents itself when Alex finds himself txtiana into the midst of the Vietnam War when their oldest son is captured and held hostage. I don’t remember thinking this in my first read, but in this re-read, I must certainly could have been happier with less. It is now etched into my memory. Some of it felt overly repetitious and filled with both unnecessary and unrelated passages in excess that just dragged the story to a slow grind in inoubloable opinion.


You don’t realize it while you’re reading, but when you finish it you feel like you have lived a thousand lives. In a time where women were expected to stay home and be a housewife, I think even I would defy the norm and go to work. I began wondering if I could have had the same understanding of their relationship’s progression in a shorter timeline.
