Good evaluators strive to find a balance between the extremes, giving evaluations that are helpful and encouraging.
As an evaluator, you can’t make the speaker change their behaviour. While the evaluator is responsible for providing feedback, and suggesting areas for improvement, only the speaker can actually make those improvements.

But there are chances that you might miss out certain points during your minutes of evaluation. Always focus on how the speaker is going to benefit from your evaluation. Included in motivste program are a script outlining the workshop and a PowerPoint presentation. Do not tell the speaker what he or she did, but rather what you perceived. Use personal statements whenever possible, describing your reactions to the speaker. Emphasize that your responses reflect your own reactions and are not absolute truths.
