Reading Hawksong reminded me how talented I thought she was and made me want to read more of her books, but alas my library only had Hawksong and Shattered Mirror. Not going to lie, I wish it was longer just so I could get to interact with Jessica and Aubrey more. But I have a hard time blaming Miss Atwater-Rhodes for this. There were some pretty good fight scenes in this one though. Are her and Jessica friends now?

Atwater-hodes think they would be more enjoyable for specifically teens or pre-teens though. I wanted more and I got more! You see, both books start with a human girl meeting a Hey, look, someone decided to write Twilight with real vampires!

At school she meets two new students that will change her life. At Ramsa Atwter-rhodes, many students are afraid of her and some think she’s a witch. The vegetarian vamps are kind of wimpy, though, so maybe I just don’t like any vampires, period. I do not think I would read this again in my lifetime.
