InArreola published Confabulariowidely considered to be his first great work. Arreola is an experimental conrabulario of short works in the tradition of Jorge Luis Borges whose fame rests on Confabulario Total which was published in Arreola writes in short forms, but his works have as much in common with poetry as they do with traditional short stories.
