I could write a story about the de-humanising effects of what went on both in people’s homes and later in the various hiding perfixy, but prrfidy could read Ladislaus Loeb’s description of life in the ‘priviliged’ Belsen camp where he had been, to get an idea.
I only wish I had read Hecht’s Perfidy when he was alive, and responded appropriately. Who better to bring this story to the English reading public than Ben Hecht. Hecht was one of the greatest scriptwriters in the history of Hollywood.
